Miva Merchant Modules and Addon FeaturesOne of the best features of Miva Merchant is the ability to add on features that can expand your e-commerce site to the next level. These third party modules are developed by top level programmers and can make your store just as powerful and featureful as Amazon.com, Macy's or any large retailer. Below you will find a list of some of the most popular Miva Merchant Modules and a short description of their features. Please contact us for pricing and installation. AccurateTax TaxTools Advanced The AccurateTax Advanced TaxTools solution is the most comprehensive sales/use tax solution available for the Miva Merchant platform. This solution can be utilized across multiple states, it provides custom reporting features for assisting with tax remitance, and allows Miva Merchant storeowners to accurately determine a customer's location based on our own US Address scrubbing algorithm to then calculate the sales/use tax for a given tax authority. While the US Address Scrubbing and Validation service can be utilizes as a standalone utility, it integrates seamlessly with the Advanced TaxTools suite to provide the most accurate address validation and sales tax calculation service available today. AccurateTax TaxTools Basic The Basic TaxTools service provides the most accurate sales and use tax data based on zip+4 codes. Many tax boundaries no longer break along city/county lines, as such the zip+4 scheme has become the single, most accurate method for assessing tax rates. Please note: Basic TaxTools module will not work with the NetBlazon US Address Scrubbing module. However, if you desire both feature sets, you can use the Advanced TaxTools solution. Addendum Checkout Questions Collect supplemental, required or non-required responses from customers at checkout. You can add as many additional checkout questions to your form as you want, within reason. Additional Checkout Data Collection Pro Collect additional data during the checkout process. This module allows you to specify your own HTML for additional data collection, such as gift card info, special ordering instructions, comments, etc. Additional checkout data collected can be shown via order tab, customer email, merchant email, invoice, and an included batch report module. Since the module allows you to specify your own HTML, via template, you could use radio buttons, checkboxes, dropdowns, text boxes or any other form variable to collect the additional information you desire. Also, you have the ability to make these fields required or specify a field charge. Address Super Mod The Address SuperMod™ V5 allows customers to store multiple shipping addresses with their customer account in your Miva Merchant store. Customers can select a single shipping and billing address from their list of stored addresses during checkout. Advanced Postal Code Validator The Advanced Postal Code Validator module provides advanced postal code validation for MIVA Merchant 5. This module can help you avoid expensive international shipping problems that arise from errors in the postal code format. Postal codes are matched against easy-to-read patterns that are configurable on a per-country basis. Affiliate Manager More powerful than the standard Miva Merchant Affiliate program, this module, as the name implies, is an affiliate manager. It tracks referrals to your store from your affiliates. You give an Affiliate code to them which they in turn can use in a link to your site or provide to others who can enter it on your site to give credit to the affiliate for their visit. You can set the amount to be paid out separately for each individual affiliate and the module tracks the accumulation and alerts you when payout is due. Payouts can be scheduled for any time period from daily to annually or set to occur when a particular payout amount has been accumulated. Agreement Page Display a customizable, interactive agreement page during checkout. Design your own agreement page with accept/decline buttons to continue or abort checkout. Ideal for customer acceptance of storefront payment/order/policy agreeement terms. Analytics Tracking This module enables Google Analytics, when set for E-Commerce mode, to receive complete order information from your MIVA Merchant V5 store. Get complete details including items orders, shipping and tax total, and price paid per item - all inside Google Analytics! Track your customers - what keywords generate what sales and more. Assign Categories to Product Conveniently assign multiple categories to a product within the product configuration. This module eliminates the tedious need to navigate to each category configuration to assign a product to a category or through export/import processes. Instead, this module introduces a new product configuration tab 'Assign Categories' that allow you to quickly assign/unassign multiple categories to a product. Additional interface features include category search, quickly assign/unassign groups of categories, display filters (all, unassigned, and assigned), active status, and pagination. Attribute and Option Import - Export from Flat Files This module allows a Merchant store owner to import attributes (text, textarea, checkbox, radio, and select) and options from an easily edited/managed flat file. The module also allows the type "template" to be specified if you have previously added the corresponding template through admin. It will not create the templates and its internal attributes/options. The module will also delete product attributes which the store owner identifies for deletion. For those sites with time-out problems, multiple flat files can be used to break up the number of attributes and options being imported at one time. Attribute Master Take master control of your Product Attributes. This module is packed with features like menu-driven control of MIVA Merchant product attributes. You can control field attributes, prompt/image locations and options, multi-column radio attribute options, and much more. Module features are configurable using the menu-driven admin interface, Product Display Layout, Missing Attributes PATR Page, OUS1 Checkout: Upsell Product (Single) Page and UATR Upsell: Missing Product Attributes (Single) Page templates. These templates are automatically created using your current template versions, when the module is initially installed. Attributes can also be displayed on other product related pages. This gives you master control over the look and feel of your product attributes. Attribute Prompt vs Code Display the attribute and option prompts instead of the attribute and option codes in the basket display, during checkout, and on the invoice. Use the Emporium Plus Mail Manager module (sold separately) to include this feature in both the merchant notification and customer confirmation emails. Attribute Template Import Export This import export utility allows you to import and export your attribute templates. Importing will add new templates, attributes, options or update existing templates, attributes, and options. It will not import product / template associations. >AutoCheck AutoCheck(tm) enables Miva Merchant 5.x to accept complete details of personal checks, thereby enabling the site owner to print customer drafts using their own computer and printer. The module does not print, but only enables the acceptance of all needed fields. B2B Tax Exempt Tax exemption for Business to Business transactions can be implemented with the B2B Tax Exempt module. Provide tax exemption for customers with tax IDs. Display prompt to eligible customers. Save customer login and tax ID to determine eligibility. Use an availability group for eligible customers. Customizable HTML template for prompt at checkout. Banner Control Scot's Banner Control for Merchant 5 is a powerful content manager that offers several methods of managing and displaying banners and content, including using products and categories from your store. Insert web pages, scripts, advertising banners, and virtually any other content including products and categories from your store. Base + Number of Items Shipping by State Zone The base plus number of items module by state zone allows you to specify different shipping rates based on the method of shipping AND the number of items AND the state the item is being shipped to. This MIVA Merchant module evaluates the "ship to" state and displays its methods and rates applicable to the destination. This prevents customers from selecting its lower rates which may not be available for them. Not compatible with the current google checkout module as that module does not use the customer's address to select the shipping methods available. Base + Number of Items Shipping by World Zone The base plus number of items MIVA Merchant module by world zone (basenumz) allows you to specify different shipping rates based on the method of shipping AND the number of items AND the area of the world the item is being shipped to. The module evaluates the "ship to" country and only displays those methods and rates applicable to the destination. This prevents customers from selecting lower rates which may not be available for them. Not compatible with the current google checkout module as that module does not use the customer's address to select the shipping methods available. Base + Number of Items Shipping by ZIP Code Zone The base plus number of items module by ZIP code zone allows you to specify different shipping rates based on the method of shipping AND the number of items AND the ZIP code the item is being shipped to. This MIVA Merchant module evaluates the first three numbers of the "ship to" ZIP code and displays its methods and rates applicable to the destination. This prevents customers from selecting its lower rates which may not be available for them. Great for local shipping charges. Not compatible with the current google checkout module as that module does not use the customer's address to select the shipping methods available. Base + Weight Shipping by State Zone This base + weight shipping MIVA Merchant module calculates the shipping charge based on the weight of the items in the order and the state that they are being shipped to. Not compatible with the current google checkout module as that module does not use the customer's address to select the shipping methods available. Base + Weight Shipping by World Zone The base plus weight module by world zone allows you to specify different shipping rates based on the method of shipping AND the weight of items AND the area of the world the item is being shipped to. This MIVA Merchant module evaluates the "ship to" country and displays its methods and rates applicable to the destination. This prevents customers from selecting its lower rates which may not be available for them. Not compatible with the current google checkout module as that module does not use the customer's address to select the shipping methods available. Basket Price Combination Combine the product price with the attribute prices to form one total price for each product visible to the customer in the basket display and invoice. Basket Price Group Recalc Automatically recalculate when the customer logs in, the module will determine the price group status of the customer. If they are in a price group, it will recalculate the prices in the basket to reflect the price group prices of the items. Batch Admin Unlike other admin modules presently available, this module gives you a single right hand screen inside the normal admin where you can place your most widely used functions. Simply copy the url and paste it into the field, click update, and its there! Batch Creation by Date Create your orders batch file based on the date of the order. You specify the beginning and ending date and name the batch, this module will do the rest. It finds orders which have not already been batched and that fall within the date range you specified. Many people fill orders from the merchant notification email and infrequently look in the order processing section to review a detail about the order. Hence, they do not bother to batch daily. This module allows you to maintain your batches in a logical, historical manner (e.g. by month), much like the file cabinet in your office without having to run the batch at a specific time or date. Best Seller Display The Best Seller Display module interfaces with the internal Miva Merchant 5.0 statistics module to provide your customers with similar best seller information previously only seen by the store owner in the admin interface. It goes a step further by breaking down the best seller information by category. Your customers will not see exact numbers sold, only relative ranking. As they see the best sellers listed, the display provides them with a convenient link to the individual products so that they too can see what all the excitement is about. You can reset the statistics through the existing admin statistics interface so that your best sellers can be kept current as product inventory changes. Buy X Get 1 Free The Buy X Items - Get 1 Free module gives the shopper a discount based on a predetermined qualifying number of items. In Merchant admin, the store owner sets the number of items it requires in order for the lowest priced item to be free. For every increment of that trigger number, an item's value reduces the total sale. For example, if the number is 5 and the customer buys 5, the lowest priced item is free. If the customer buys 10, the lowest two items are free. The store can exempt specific items and can also make the discount a percentage of the item instead of free. Calculate Shipping Allow your customers to calculate the shipping costs before entering checkout. The estimated shipping costs display in the basket page by default, but can be displayed in any desired storefront page by relocating the corresponding SMT item. For shipping methods that require additional customer info, an easy to configure and user friendly input form can be displayed to prompt for zip code, state, and/or country. Categories, Thumbnails and Price Combination in Basket Screen The Categories in Basket Screen module provides enhanced display of your basket screen with: 1) categories the product is in, 2) thumbnail image of the product, and 3) combined prices of products + attributes into a single price for each product. Category Assignment Manager The Category Assignment Manager module gives you quick and easy access to assigning categories to your products and child categories to your parent categories. Each product in your store will now have a "Categories" tab for quick category assignment. Also, each category in your store will have a new tab called "Child Categories". Within this tab you will be able to quickly assign sub-categories to the current category. You are also able to quickly sort the categories sub-categories by using the up and down arrows. Category Manager The Category Manager module allows you to have multiple category templates in a single store. You can have a different template for every category in your store if you want. The templates use the standard store morph technology template editor in MIVA Merchant 5. While basic knowledge of how to edit MIVA Merchant 5 templates is required, there are two example templates provided in addition to the built in ctgy page template. Category Master v5 - New Features! Take master control of your Category(CTGY) Page and now for your Product(PROD) Page. This module is packed with features like menu-driven global and individual category level control of Category Product List Layout, Multi-Column Category Product layout with image positioning, Category Product Pagination with Totals, Subcategory Listing, Category Breadcrumbs and Product Pagintion for the product page. No need for separate templates to control your category screen globally or individually for each category. All features are configurable using the menu-driven admin interface. Master CTGY page and Product List Layout templates are automatically installed and configured with this module. This gives you full control over the look and feel of your category screen. Product Pagination for your Product(PROD) pages. You can now display Category Breadcrumbs and Subcategory Listing on Product Pages. Category Minimums and Maximums The category minimums and maximums module allows you to set the number of products that must be in the basket from designated categories before the customer can complete the checkout. If you don't list categories in the configuration of the module, then those categories have no restrictions. This easy-to-use module lets you terminate the checkout with a store customizable message using store morph code. Include links back to the restricted category and the products in the basket so the customer can adjust quantities in order to resume checkout. Category Template Manager Category Template Manager allows merchants to create multiple display templates that can then be assigned to categories. When installed, two sample templates are created for you. One being the template MIVA Merchant comes with and the second being a full-featured template like the sample image below. Let your creativity run wild! Category Tree Template Category Tree Template for your Miva Merchant version 5 store. This module allows you to create a template for the entire left navigation. Now you have one place to make updates to your category tree, header, footer, and etc. Category Tree This module gives you template access to the actual links so you can change them to be more search engine friendly. MIVA Merchant 5 does provide basic template access to the category tree links. This module gives you multilevel access so you can make each level of the tree have a different font. The tree template uses the standard store morph technology template editor in MIVA Merchant 5. While basic knowledge of how to edit MIVA Merchant 5 templates is required, the module comes with the default template that looks like the original tree. There is an additional example which replaces the category tree links with directory style links. Getting started is not that difficult. This module also provides subcategory navigation and category breadcrumb navigation. CheckOut SuperMod The CheckOut SuperMod v.5 allows your customers to determine the shipping method for each individual item in a single order and then the appropriate shipping and tax calculations are made to determine the total shipping amount for the entire order. Items in an order that are using the same shipping method are grouped to properly calculate the shipping price for the group of items. Now your customers can check out of your store with multiple shipping methods or shipping addresses in the same order and the shipping is calculated properly. Contact Manager Sales, support and other inquiries between you and your customers are seemlessly integrated into your MIVA Merchant store. Continue Shopping Pro Give your customers better control of the basket contents page and improve their shopping experience. This module provides a smart "continue shopping", "empty basket" and "checkout" buttons. Continue shopping button will automatically return the shopper to the last visited product, category, search or product list display screens. All display options are configurable using the menu-driven admin interface and modified basket contents page template, which is automatically installed and configured with this module. Menu driven module configuration allows you to customize your buttons and control which of the merchant pages the customer can return to. This gives you full control over the look and feel of your this new functionality. The module can also be used to add Continue Shopping functionality to other Merchant pages. Coupon Redemption Manage coupon addition and coupon redemption functions with this versatile coupon module. Includes a real time coupon code generator which can produce unique coupon codes by embedding a coupon token in any store page and in emails which are capable of using the specific module token. Includes a coupon report in admin so you can review coupon usage history. In addition to the admin interface for adding one coupon at a time, you can import and export coupon details for quick loading of coupon codes. Custom Customer Fields Display The Custom Customer Field Display module allows you to display custom customer fields on the store side and not just the admin. In addition, you can make the fields required or not. This module is 100% template based using Store Morph. Custom Customer Fields Interface This interface module will display and retrieve customer entered information relative to customer accounts on the account create, account edit, and order customer information screens. The extra fields can be optional or required. You can even use it with the Emporium Plus Mail Manager module (sold separately) to include the information in the order notification emails. Customer and Product Administration Communication of order status with your customers is a critical element in the overall success of your store. Provide order status change emails to customers, keep track of order changes with backend administrative notes, and provide customers with an easy login view of their order status and invoice. Customer Order Confirmation - HTML Email Template v5 - New Features! Take control of your Customer Order Confirmation Email with this full featured fulfillment module. This module provides complete design control of HTML email confirmation using the new Store Morph Technology™ based template. Use it in addition to or as a replacement for the standard text Customer Order Confirmation Email. This module automatically installs and configures the default Email template, which can be further customized to meet your needs. The HTML Email is sent using Merchant Mail Server and Module Configuration settings. Customer Rewards / Points Redemption Manager The Points Redemption Manager gives store owners another opportunity to reward their customers. This module gives you the ability to award points to your customers based on their purchases. These awarded points can then be used on future purchases for a discount. Customizable Customer Confirmation Email Totally, Easily, Utterly, Completely Customizable Customer Confirmation Messages. Send customized HTML or text formatted order confirmation email messages to customers. Confirmation message sent when order is completed (Invoice screen displayed). Digital Downloads Create downloadable products in MIVA by ending the SKU (product code) with "-DLD" and the file type (.zip). Your customer will place his/her order, and then receive a seperate auto generated email containing an encrypted link(s) to the download. This link expires based on your time frame. Dimension Pricing Charge your customers by the variable size of the item they are ordering. This MIVA Merchant module is used to calculate prices on items which are priced, e.g. by the square foot, inch, or other units of measure. This is particularly useful when the store owner does not want to have a pull down select list of infinite values. Discount (Percent or Fixed) Off Subtotal Easily offer an automatic discount based on the basket subtotal. Use this module for storewide sales and high purchase discounts at checkout. Increase the discount amount at higher subtotals to entice customers to spend more. Discount at Checkout Offer a discount or upcharge at time of checkout with a variety of configurable options. Includes additional control inside the module configuration to offer a discount based on the basket total, number of items in the basket, customers that belong to any price group, or preferred shipping/payment method. You can configure any combination (or none) of the discount requirement options to offer discounts with a variety discount requirements or none at all for storewide generic discounts. Discount Based on Quantity by Category Volume pricing at the category level. Easily offer a fixed discount (not percentage) based on the number of items in the basket and the categories those items are in. Discount Based on Subtotal The Discount Based on Subtotal module offers discounts based on the subtotal of the items in the customer's basket. This allows the store to provide overall volume pricing across its entire product line. For example, the store may offer 10% off orders between $200 and $499.99, and 20% off orders of $500 or more. Discounts can be flat dollar amounts, or a percentage of the order subtotal. The module provides flexibility to exclude certain products and to exclude certain price groups. Discount by Category/Quantity Offer a discount by storefront category and quantity. A discount is offered when any products that belong to a "discount category" are added to the basket. Progressive levels of product quantities and discount amounts can be configured to provide a larger discount as more quantities are ordered within a category. Unlimited discount levels for fixed discount amounts or percentages with multiple categories can be configured as desired. Discount amount appears in the basket page (as well as most other places where the order subtotal, tax, shipping charges normally display) based on the discount category products subtotal. Specific products can be excluded that supports the * wildcard for easy product filtering from each discount level to accommodate for redundant products assigned to more than category. Include or exclude specific price group(s) as desired to provide discount for eligible types of customers. Discount By Category/Subtotal Offer a discount by storefront category and subtotal. A discount is offered when any products that belong to a "discount category" are added to the basket. Specific products can be included/required or excluded from discount and basket quantity/subtotal calculations and supports the * wildcard for easy product filtering. Include or exclude specific price group(s) as desired to provide discount for eligible types of customers. Discount by Subtotal Offer a discount or upcharge by basket subtotal. Multiple discount levels can be created for various subtotal amounts, i.e. $100 to $199.99 = 10% discount, $200 to $299.99 = 20%, $300 or more = $75, etc. Discount/upcharge amount appears on the basket page (as well as most other places where the order subtotal, tax, shipping charges normally display) and can be configured as a fixed amount or percentage of the basket subtotal. A list of products can be included/required or excluded from discount and basket subtotal calculation that supports the * wildcard for easy product filtering. Include or exclude specific price group(s) as desired to provide discount for eligible types of customers. Discount Percent Off Based on Quantity by Category Volume pricing at the category (group) level. Easily offer a discount based on the number of items in the basket and the categories those items are in. You can even create the group with individual product codes instead of category codes. Display the category discount tiers in a table on the category pages. Discount Percent Off Subtotal By Category Easily offer a discount based on the basket subtotal with this MIVA Merchant module. The default is to calculate product charges in the specified category(ies) (including attribute charges) to determine the total. You can optionally include non-product charges in the calculation. You can also use the wildcard * instead of category codes and all products in the store will be discounted. Dropship eMail Notification Simplify your order processing by sending a drop ship notification email to your drop ship suppliers. This module lets you set up suppliers in your Miva Merchant 5 store, and assign products to these suppliers. When you sell their products, they'll receive an instant email notification with your order number, the customer's shipping information, and what products they ordered! Editable Basket Attributes Now your customers have the abilty to edit a products attributes after they have been added to the cart. Normal behavior would make you delete the product and re-add it with the new attribute selection. Save your customers time with Editable Basket Attributes! Email Address Login and UserName Lookup Allow customers to login with their email address rather than their, hard to remember, customer ID. The default login for Miva Merchant prompts the customer for their username login ID. Customers frequently forget that ID and end up creating a new account. This module minimizes that problem. Enhanced Basket Contents Enhances the basket page to remove multiple items and/or update multiple quantities at once with a single button. Make as many basket content changes as you like and update the shopping basket with just one click! The module configuration features an Update Basket button customizable with your own text or image and the enhanced basket contents template that's SMT compatible for flexible format and layout control. Entity Count Pricing Charge your customers by the number of letters or words customers include in a text field attribute called PHRASE-L or PHRASE-W respectively. This module is used to calculate individual entity pricing for engraving, embroidering, etc. The attribute can be in either a text input or textarea input. ePriceManager - Tiered Pricing The ePriceManager module for Miva Merchant 5 allows you to create a tiered price schedule for your products and customers. This module gives you extraordinary control over your price groups, allowing you to configure a robust - and real world - price structure for your business. Event Reminder Customers can enter event reminder dates in your Miva Merchant store and will be notified via email when that date arrives. Export Orders to Flat File with Credit Card Simple Validation Export orders to a flat file with credit card payment with simple validation data. This export module is intended to export the orders with credit card data when used with the "Credit Card with Payment with Simple Validation" payment module. Express Order The express order module allows you to display an express order form within Miva Merchant. This is useful for your customers who routinely order from a printed catalog with SKU numbers for each unique product or they order the same thing frequently and have the codes written down or memorized. If they know the product codes, they simply enter them and submit. This saves time since they do not have to do time consuming searches or browse categories and products looking for the items they want to order. It cannot be used for products which have variable attributes. You can also not use it if you have minimum order requirements for a specific product code combined with volume pricing. The button to open the form can be placed on any screen and in any location in the store. External Product Purchase This module allows a customer to purchase items which are not in your Merchant database. This is particularly suited for auction winnings, printed catalog items, donations, and classified ad items. It can also be used for sale of services or negotiated price items. The install doc contains usage tips for eBay winner emails. Extra Template Manager Pro Store Designers, Developers and Administrators, now you can have ultimate control of Extra Merchant Content and Emails by creating and using Extra MIVA Merchant Templates with our Template based Email system. This module provides for an an unlimited number of Extra Store Morph Technology(SMT) based Templates. These templates can then be rendered in, or emailed from any Merchant SMT enabled template. This can be very useful in using, re-using and emailing extra static and dynamic content throughout your store, providing one place to quickly manage it all. EZ Batch Report EZ Batch report module lets you run a batch report on either batched or unbatched orders. You can also use it to create packing slips and create flat files for use with tools like the Fedex online label and UPS's My UPS programs. It creates an orders export flat file with data the standard export program forgot to include. It can email the flat file exports to you. FedEx Advanced Finally, a robust FedEx shipping module! It offers many more configuration options than Merchant's standard FedEx module, such as calculation taking into account dimensional weight, and declared value insurance. In addition, it lets you configure products to be shipping independently in their own box (or multiple quantity per box) and from their own zip code. Individual products can be flagged to have free shipping, products being shipping in their own box can be specified to have free shipping on a per-method basis (eg. free FedEx Home Delivery for product x), and individual methods can be configured to be free (eg. free FedEx ground). Individual methods can be discounted (eg. FedEx Ground 25% off). Individual methods can also have specific handling charges assigned to them. The merchant can specify the maximum weight to put into individual shipping boxes as well as a maximum number. The module uses a sophisticated algorithm to pack the boxes to the maximum weight while maintaining the lowest number of boxes. The methods seen by the customer in the drop down shipping selection list can be sorted either ascending or descending (or not at all). FExport Using this simple Miva Merchant Batch module, You can import your customers shipping address into Fedex Ship Manager Online to quickly create Fedex Shipping labels without having to re-enter customer information. The email content is configured by the store owner through merchant admin. Force Login Forces customers to login or create an account before shopping ANYWHERE on your store. This module will restrict all access to your online store until the customer has logged in. Gift Certificate Manager This module gives a store the ability to sell and accept electronic gift certificates. Gift certicates templates are created and can be associated with products for sale in the store (or their attributes). When the associated product is purchased, the module will automatically generate a key for that certificate and send an email (optional) to the purchaser containing the key and an explanation of how to use it. Allow all or only certain customers to enter a purchase order number, or even to bypass payment information collection altogether. Restrict Exporting of Products Prevents the purchase of specific products in your store which cannot be exported outside your export eligible country list. Restrict international orders. It can be configured through admin to restrict states or zip codes instead of countries. It allows one location eligibility list for the store. Then you add the products which may not be shipped outside of that list. For the zip codes, you can restrict export to an individual list of zip codes or zip code ranges. You can use either the 5 digits or the abbreviated first 3 digits of the zip code. The module also has a wildcard setting so you can put all of the products in the store on the export prohibited list instead of just certain products. During checkout, after entering the ship to information, the module checks the basket against the eligible destination list. If prohibited exports are in the basket, the customer cannot proceed further and is advised which products must be removed from the basket. The message the customer sees is configurable through the store admin. This module cannot be used if you have Google checkout in your store since that checkout system bypasses the Miva Merchant checkout pages.
